Springville OBOB 2022-23

Springville OBOB is in need of an OBOB coordinator and/or OBOB committee members this year! Every year 100+ students in grades 3, 4 & 5 participate in this fun reading program.

Oregon Battle of the Books (O.B.O.B.) Coordinator/Committee

Estimated time commitment: avg. 2 hours/week from October to February

-Work w/ Library Media Assistant to introduce students to O.B.O.B. and get the school and the students registered

-Train volunteers

-Schedule battles to be run by volunteers in January-February

-Organize celebration (March or April) to close out the OBOB season

The Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program sponsored by the Oregon Association of School Libraries in conjunction with a Library Services and Technology Act grant. Books go through a selection process to become part of the program.
